Description
This piece is inspired by my conversation with a Black Hole. I’m not joking. Full story here: https://www.rebeccaschoenecker.com/a-black-hole-spoke-to-me-so-i-listened/
The short story: A supermassive black hole was reborn in early 2026, a rare event. After hearing about it, I started seeing a face with arms hovering over a black hole. Meet Circinus, who is the creator of her galaxy’s black hole, both loving and lethal. Circinus’s galaxy is not far from our own, the Milky Way.
Owning a work of art is like owning a permanent window into another world; new things are always being uncovered. This piece holds a special energy that brings inspiration and mystery to your space.
About the Black Hole of Circinus print:
- This is a limited-edition art print of 30.
- The print, with borders, is 18 inches by 24 inches, which fits a standard frame.
- If you choose to order this piece framed, the size of the piece in the frame is approximately 20″ x 26″. The frame is satin black. The print sits behind lightweight plexiglass (not glass).
- The edition is signed by the artist, Rebecca Schoenecker.
- It’s printed on conservation museum-quality paper (Hahnemühle Torchen paper). It looks and feels like watercolor paper. It holds intricate colors and textures, making it difficult to distinguish from the original artwork. This is high quality, friends.
Shipping Information
- You have the option of having the print shipped in a tube, flat inside of a box, or framed inside a well-padded flat box.
- Shipping the print without a frame requires a 7-business-day turnaround (max time) and is sent via USPS.
- Shipping with the frame requires a 2-week turnaround.
- Signature confirmation is included. This means you will have to sign for the package when delivered. If you miss delivery, you can retrieve the package from the post office or schedule a time for delivery.
- Please make sure that you are having the artwork shipped at a time when you are around (don’t have this shipped right before vacation, as it will not be left at your abode).
If you choose to ship in a tube:
- Shipping in a tube is the safest and most cost-effective way to ship your print. Shipping flat is pricier and requires more packing materials, time, and care. I pack your order with a ton of TLC to ensure the potential for damage is low. If anything is wrong with your print, I will send out a new one.
- You will have to flatten the art when it arrives, or have some help with another pair of hands to slip it into a frame as soon as unpacking.
- To flatten your print, I would recommend sandwiching it between flat cardboard pieces with some weight for a few days. I have instructions to help when you open the package.
