Queen of Cups

Still waters run deep for the Queen of Cups.

The Queen of Cups is a seer of hearts; they travel into their watery depths to search out the source of their feelings. Slowing down to reflect, in time, the underlying issues or solutions are found.

The Queen of Cups arrives when you need to calm the waves of emotion or stir them up to see what’s below the surface. The answer is layered in your feelings, buried in shadow, and discovered when you enter the workings of your psyche. It might be time for some serious soul work.

Because the Queen of Cups is such a feeler, they tend toward the empathetic side. You might pick up on how others feel with little effort, leading you naturally toward an intuitive or psychic inclination.

You have to be careful with that power, though! Know your limits with empathy and ensure you’re not carrying around other people’s emotional baggage.

Not surprisingly, you are the first person people come to when they need emotional support. As a ruling Queen, you problem-solve by trusting your feelings and collaborating with those around you; you lead through emotional connection.

Occasionally, the Queen can go lost in the underworld, letting emotion take over and struggling to see the facts or the reality before them. At worst, they can become narcissistic and self-involved. This meaning would be more likely if the card appears in the reversed position.

The Queen of Cups says that feeling is knowing. So stop trying to do, and get into listening. There, you’ll find the answers.
