Psychic Painting and Reading Testimonial

I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect from Rebecca’s psychic painting and reading, but I’ve worked with many of her decks and taken a handful of classes, so I knew that the experience would tap into my life in insightful ways and I always trust her vision. She sent me a gorgeous painting of a woman walking on a tightrope under a sky marked by a big blue moon and a sun: the theme was balance and persistence, and her reading connected the card’s themes to specific elements of my daily life from my internal compass to my relationships and work life. A second painting of just the moon, a large blue/purple orb with a white halo around it, underscored the archetype that we are working with during this eclipse season. I spent several weeks reflecting on the reading and looking back at the specific wisdom of it: Rebecca’s insights were so deeply connected to this moment in my life, and her description of that moment felt revelatory and true. More surprisingly, several weeks after receiving her paintings, my partner proposed to me with a ring that is identical to the moon painting–a blue stone surrounded by a white circle–indeed, the artwork was so attuned to me that I am still shaking my head in wonder. I work as a curator and arts writer, and I am so happy to have these paintings live with me that I am going to frame them and hang them in my office. Training and Experience

I have been reading Tarot since 2011. It has been quite the journey! Here’s what’s happened along the way.

• I’ve authored and illustrated several esoteric works. 
  • The books and decks I’ve published are the cumulative result of years spent studying, researching, and reading for others. My works include: The Laughing Eye Weeping Eye Tarot (2011), The Creatures of the Moon Oracle (2016), The Shadowspeak Oracle (2020), and The Colorful Tears Tarot (2024).  Several of these works have been acquired by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) special library collection.
• My spiritual path is essential to my work as a reader.
  • I am an initiated Priestess and ordained Minister (2016), and have been undertaking Taoist studies since 2024.
  • Being initiated as a Priestess required strict study: Divination, healing modalities, psychic work, aura reading, and various other studies/requirements were met to complete this initiation.
  • My spiritual path continues to expand, as I explore Taoist cosmology and movement practices.
• I have a BFA and MFA in Fine Arts and am well-versed in reading symbols.
  • I have been studying art since 1998. Tarot card reading requires an understanding of how to interpret images, symbols, and colors. Like art, tarot tells a story.
  • The Psychic Paintings and Readings I offer also highlight my abilities and offer unique, transformative experiences.
• Divination requires daily investment.
  • A daily practice of meditation and spiritual work keeps me grounded, connected, and in tune. Tarot doesn’t just happen when I show up for a reading. It happens in the hours I spend working on myself, spiritually. This ensures that I’m aligned and ready when we connect.
• I’ve worked as a mental health advocate.
  • Before working as a Tarot Professional, I taught in high schools and colleges. I also worked as an Academic Advisor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (2008-2013). At SAIC, I worked with students struggling to make it. I provided coaching and resources to help my students reach their full potential. Through this work, I witnessed people’s ability to overcome challenges that seemed insurmountable–they just needed an advocate and safe person (me!). I believe we possess an incredible amount of courage, strength, and potential. While my modality is now tarot, I’ve been helping others at their crossroads for much of my life.
• Training and certifications:
  • BFA Fine Arts, 2002. Studies included exploration of memories and symbols. Focus in printmaking and drawing.
  • MFA Fine Arts, 2008. Studies included storytelling through animation, painting, and printmaking. Mythology also a focus.
  • 2010: Self-study in psychic and tarot work began.
  • 2014: Initiation into the craft through the Sacred Circle Coven (private group). Areas of focus: Psychic reading, mediumship, tarot, chakra reading and clearing.
  • 2014: Attended Pagan Spirit Gathering; various workshops taken.
  • 2015: Tarosophy tarot certification, 10-week course.
  • 2018: The New York Reader’s Studio, master class with Rachel Pollack. Tarot focus.
  • 2018: The New York Reader’s Studio, master class with Benebell Wen. Using tarot for mediumship and past-life readings.
  • 2018: The New York Reader’s Studio, master class with Mary Greer: Working with symbols.
